Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
This year Carers Week focussed on Building Carer Friendly Communities. Communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
Carers in Bedfordshire supports this campaign each year to highlight services available to carers in their local area and to encourage others to think how they can be “carer friendly”. We were out and about, talking to people in supermarkets, local hospitals, at workplaces, schools and at special events throughout Bedfordshire.
We would like to thank all our supporters who gave us a special boost.
