Bedford Carer Groups

We run a variety of different groups with a range of different activities - the ideal opportunity to meet others, listen to speakers and make friends. 


Bedford Carers Evening Group 

Provides support for carers who are caring for someone with mental health issues.

Speakers are regularly invited to talk on issues relevant to carers.

Ideal for carers who are busy during the day.

2nd Monday of the month from 7pm to 9pm at Pilgrim Centre


Carers' Thursday Group

Make new friends and find support as well as regular speakers. 

2nd Thursday of the month

10.00am-12.00pm

Carers Rest

 A haven for both carers and their loved ones living with Dementia, Alzheimers or Memory Loss.

We run social activities with a hot lunch and occasional speakers.

Every Tuesday from 10.15am - 1pm At Priory Methodist Church

Carers Choir

No experience needed! Singing is good for your wellbeing and great fun too.

Meets fortnightly on a Tuesday 9.45am - 11.45am.

Former carers group

For carers when the person they care for has passed away or moved into residential care.

Limited transport can be provided for those who cannot drive or do not have access to a car.

Meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 10.30am and 12 noon 


Carers Cafe

Provides a range of activities for carers and the person they are caring for.


Learning Disability Carers Group

For carers of those with learning disabilities.

A chance to meet others, listen to speakers and make friends.

4th Friday of the month from 10am to 12pm


Coffee & Information Morning

For carers living in the London Road & surrounding area

Last Wednesday of the month

10.00 - 12.30pm at London Road Health Centre


Monday Morning Drop In 

A place for all carers to share their experiences with each other and find support and information.

This a great group to attend, especially if you are new to caring or newly registered with Carers in Bedfordshire.

Every Monday from 10.30am to 12pm at Pilgrim Centre.


Parents Together

 For parent carers or those who support a child under 18 with additional needs

Meet others, get information and advice; speakers often come along to this group 

2nd Friday of the month from 10am - 12pm (dates and times may change in the school holidays)

Camera Club

Come together to take part in a creative activity and learn new skills 

Meets on the last Thursday of the month (subject to change)

1:30-3:30pm at the Bedford Office
