Bedford Carer Groups

We run a variety of different groups with a range of different activities - the ideal opportunity to meet others, listen to speakers and make friends.

Bedford Carers Evening Group 

Provides support for carers who are caring for someone with a mental health difficulty. Speakers are regularly invited to talk on issues relevant to carers and we usually have a couple of social events across the year.  The group is ideal for carers who are busy during the day.

From February 2020, the group will be facilitated in partnership with ELFT:  Christina Iddon, a Social Worker in the Community Mental Health Team will join each session to gather feedback from carers on support available to carers within local mental health services.

2nd Monday of the month from 6.30pm - 8.30pm at Pilgrim Centre, Brickhill Drive, Bedford.

Camera Club

Come together to take part in a creative activity and learn new skills 

Meets on the 4th Thursday of the month, 1:30-3:30pm at the Bedford Office

Carers Choir

No experience needed! Singing is good for your wellbeing and great fun too.

Carers Rest

 A haven for both carers and their loved ones living with Dementia, Alzheimers or Memory Loss.

We run social activities with a hot lunch and occasional speakers.

Community Hub

For carers living in the Cauldwell and Kingsbrook area. An opportunity to meet other carers. Other organisations will be attending to give information and advice on benefits, housing, health and wellbeing.

Former Carers Group

Kempton Advice Hub

A Drop-in for people who would like to connect to their local community, make new friends and find out what is going on in the local area.  Information and advice from a number of services will be available: BPHA, Citizens Advice Bedford, CAP and a Support Worker from Carers in Bedfordshire.

1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 1pm to 3pm at Project 229, 229 Bedford Road, Kempston, MK42 8DA.

For carers of those with learning disabilities. A chance to meet others, listen to speakers and make friends.

4th Friday of the month from 10am to 12pm at the Pilgrim Centre.

Monday Morning Drop In 

A place for all carers to share their experiences with each other and find support and information.

This a great group to attend, especially if you are new to caring or newly registered with Carers in Bedfordshire.

Every Monday from 10.30am to 12pm at Pilgrim Centre.


Parents Together

 For parent carers or those who support a child under 18 with additional needs

Meet others, get information and advice; speakers often come along to this group
