Yvonne is back with us and hosting three webinars on Thursday evenings in May

14 May - How to reduce challenging behaviour – understanding why it happens and what you can do to help your child

21 May How to be calmer and happier when everyone’s anxious and frozen in fear

28 May - Understanding communication, why it impacts on behaviour and how you can help 

Each one will start at 8.15pm, for two hours per session.
This will be a 90 minute talk with slides, following by 30 minutes for questions.
A link to the replay can be sent out afterwards to anyone who registered to attend.

How to get a better night's sleep

Presented by Lizzie Sharp, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and carers champion, Bedfordshire Wellbeing Service.

Are you struggling to get a good nights sleep and noticing you feel tired all the time?  Lizzie will be sharing information on how we can get a better night's sleep and what small changes we can make in order to aid better sleep.  

There will be plenty of time for questions.  

Activities

Arm chair yoga for carers

  • When: Friday afternoons 3 - 3.30pm on 5th, 12th, 19th, 26thJune.
  • How: Zoom, free
  • The sessions are led by qualified yoga teacher, Linda Wheatley. You will be guided through breathing, gentle stretching and muscle activation techniques, working at your own pace and to your own ability. You may find it easier to be sitting on something like a dining room chair rather than on a  squashy armchair but that’s not essential.

Art for Relaxation course for Carers

  • When: 14th, 21st, 28th May and 4th June

  • Run by Natasha Rehman, an artist who provides creative workshops. She is part of a social enterprise, Real Inspiration, that provides creative, community based workshops and projects. The sessions will cover

Each element is planned for all abilities and so it will be  simple but fun and effective

  • Biggleswade Parent Carers Group - Every Wednesday at 11am for an hour 
  • Bedford Parents Group - Every Tuesday at 11am for an hour
  • Evening Groups for everyone - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm for an hour
