Carers in Bedfordshire is a local charity. We help unpaid carers of all ages and backgrounds to cope with the emotional and physical stresses of their caring role.
We are governed by a Board of Trustees and operate a membership scheme to ensure that those with the best interest of the charity help us to continue to develop.
The charity was founded in 2004 by Yvonne, a parent carer who recognised the need for support for those who care for others in their personal lives. Since starting in Yvonne’s home as ‘The Eve Project’, Carers in Bedfordshire has grown and developed into a valued local charity, reaching over 8000 carers.
The voice of carers is still firmly embedded throughout the organisation, with many of our dedicated team of staff, volunteers and Board of Directors having current or previous experience of caring.
