Carers In Bedfordshire

Amplify Your Voice

We work to listen to Carers every day and amplify their voices to effect change. There are a number of ways that Carers can be heard. We have a Carers Panel, a group called Carer’s Voice and Carers Stories are published on our website and you can also listen to our podcast Who Really Cares?

Carers Panel

The Carers Panel ensures trustees hear diverse carer voices when making charity decisions. Members with varied experiences challenge our assumptions, acting in the charity’s best interest. This advisory forum is a formal part of our governance, guaranteeing carer perspectives directly shape our strategic direction. If you’re a carer, express your interest in joining and influencing our work.

Carers Voice

Speaking up as a carer can be tough, yet your voice holds significant power. Historically, carers speaking out has led to real change. Carers Voice offers you a platform to influence and improve the support system for yourself and those you care for. Participate at your own pace; sign up for more information – no registration with Carers in Bedfordshire is needed to get involved.

Carer Stories

Many don’t identify as carers, viewing it as simply helping loved ones manage illness or disability. This section highlights the diverse realities of caregiving by featuring the personal stories, both positive and difficult, from adult carers, the extraordinary responsibilities faced by young carers, and the unique journeys of parent carers supporting children with additional needs.
