Take action for young carers

As we tell our young carers: they are superheroes but even superheroes need looking after.

Young carers take on lots of responsibility at home; they are mature, resilient and empathetic. However, they miss out on friendships, don’t have time for their own interests and can be bullied for being ‘different’.

This can cause isolation and low self-confidence. We make a lasting difference by supporting them through these challenges.

Young Carers Action Day takes place each March. It’s an annual event organised by Carers Trust to raise awareness of young carers and the challenges they face.

Dress Purple for Young Carers Action Day brings individuals, schools and businesses together to take action to support young carers.

It’s easy to get involved; dress in purple for the day and text a £2 donation to Carers in Bedfordshire.
