Dealing with Anxiety

Anxiety can be described as a “feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome”. It can strike any of us at any time, and it’s a completely natural response to a dangerous or threatening situation. For carers it can be particularly difficult to manage, as you may be faced with new or uncertain situations.

Can you help me with my anxiety?

Yes.

Here you can find information about anxiety and links to useful resources to help you manage periods when you feel anxious.

As always you can book a call with us or reach out to other support networks.

Just always remember that you are not alone.

Is there anywhere else I can turn?

Is there someone I can talk to?

We also have an Adult Wellbeing Practitioner, who is able to provide support if you’re feeling anxious over a long period of time and need some further support. You can contact her via email: wellbeing@carersinbeds.org.uk. She can offer one-off or a series of sessions to support your wellbeing.
