This year we're running our "Make it a Carers' Christmas" campaign to support unpaid carers over the Christmas and New Year season.
At Carers in Bedfordshire, we will be delivering a variety of services this Christmas that will specifically help carers to manage their stress, isolation and mental health.
Our support workers will run group sessions and offer 1:1 appointments with carers to discuss any problems that they are having and provide them with advice on how to deal with their situation.
Our volunteers will also take calls from carers and offer an understanding, listening ear which is something many carers aren’t able to access elsewhere.
To maintain our support for these unpaid heroes, we are asking you to join our ‘Make it a Carer’s Christmas’ campaign!
Spread the message to people you know!
Does your employer or school support a charity at Christmas? Maybe you could:
- Hold an Ugliest Christmas Jumper competition
- Run a Christmas Quiz
- Have a Mince Pie Bake-Off
Do you know a band, choir or orchestra doing a Christmas Concert at which they could hold a collection?
Why not put our name forward as a charity that they could support with their festivities?
Are your Christmas lights the best on your street? Maybe even the best in your town/village?
Why don't you have a Switching-On Ceremony and hold a collection in aid of unpaid carers?
How can you help?
You can donate by text and it only takes seconds to do, just text CARERSCHRISTMAS
Your text will cost your donation + one standard rate message
You can donate any amount online through our page on Wonderful.org
We are here to support you!
The possibilities are endless and Carers in Bedfordshire will support you with anything that you decide to do, all you have to do is to get in contact with us!
