Support from Businesses

As a business you’ve got lots of options for supporting carers in your community

As you look around your office, warehouse, shop or factory, it’s likely that 1 in 7 of your colleagues are looking after someone who cannot manage without them.

We can help them and you can help us. Whether your company is large or small, there are lots of ways to support carers.

Be a Carer-Friendly Employer

An estimated 600 carers leave employment each day because they can no longer juggle work and caring.

One of the easiest ways to help carers is to take some simple steps towards making your workplace carer-friendly. Our webinar on 9th June can help you do just that.

Fundraising

To keep it simple, you could run a bake sale or dress-down day. Our Fundraising Guide has plenty of ideas and advice for you.

Or, if you and your colleagues are feeling adventurous, you could take on a challenge. You could do a mud run together or even cycle from London to Paris. Check out our challenge events.

Charity of the Year

Making us your company’s Charity of the Year will give you lots of opportunities to fundraise. We will support you all year round and promote the partnership through social media and our magazine. It’s a great way to stand by carers and be part of your local community.

There will be benefits to your company too. Supporting Carers in Bedfordshire could raise your profile, inspire staff and customers, and help you meet your corporate responsibility objectives.
