Support Us - so many ways to help

Fundraising

Support Us Find out how you can help

We couldn't do it without you! There are lots of different ways you can help

Even a few minutes of your time can make a big difference to carers!

Spread the word

Do you know someone who looks after a relative, friend or neighbour who can't manage without them? Can you point them in our direction for support and help? Perhaps you can display some of our leaflets or a poster in your workplace, supermarket, GP surgery or clinic or community centre

Invite us to speak to your local organisation or group to find out how you can get involved to support us. Could we be your Charity of the Year?

Make a donation

You can give online via our Wonderful.org fundraising page that charges no fees to you or us for your donation!

You can make a gift via text, send "CiB" to 70085 to donate £5.

We have collection tubs in places all over the county as well as at all of our groups & cafés.

You can post a cheque payable to "Carers in Bedfordshire" to: Suite K, Sandland Court, Pilgrim Centre, Brickhill Drive, Bedford, MK41 7PZ

Challenge Yourself

Personal – Whether it’s baking cakes like Sandra or giving them up like Maryline, the best way to fundraise is for it to be a challenge for you. People will find it easier to support you knowing that it’s a genuine challenge!

Physical – You can swim the length of an estuary like Kate, run 100km like Darran or cycle 150 miles like Mark. There are so many opportunities for challenges out there for you or your team!

They are plenty of great opportunities for experiences all over the world with Global Adventure Challenges, from trekking through the Sahara to taking a team of sled dogs into the Arctic Circle.

UK Parachuting run charity skydives all year round in Peterborough, cross it off your bucket list!Gemma and Imelda raised over £1700 between them last year!

Set up your Wonderful.org fundraising page to raise money with no charges to you or us when you do so!

Regular Giving

Setting up a direct debit is quick and secure, whether you do it online here or prefer to fill in a paper form.  You choose how much and how often – whether you want to give every month, every quarter, every year – and we are committed to using your gift to support unpaid carers across the county.

You can even set up a regular donation of up to £20 per month via text. Just text “CiBMonthly” followed by how much you would like to donate (e.g. CiBMonthly 10) to 70085 and your monthly donation will be added to your phone bill. You can even Gift Aid it to add 25% to the value of the donation at no cost to you!

Knowing we have your regular support helps us plan the work we do. It really is a gift that gives over and over again.

Be carer friendly

If you run a business, join our Carer Discount Card scheme to help carers' money go a little further. Find out more about the Discount card scheme

Take a Pledge to help build Carer Friendly Communities for example giving flexible appointments to carers who may struggle to attend at a fixed time. Find out more making a pledge

Volunteer for us

Does your local shop or pub have donation tins on the counter? Why not ask if they could have one for Carers in Bedfordshire? If you can collect and replace it, dropping the full tin at one of our offices to be counted then even better!

We’re also looking for volunteers to run their own events to raise money for the charity, or even to come along to help at collections that we organise around the county. Look at our Ways to Fundraise page for more ideas and tips.

Are you comfortable talking to groups of people about our services? You could offer the talk to local organisations such as WIs, Rotary and Lions Clubs.
