Wellbeing
Wellbeing refers to how we feel emotionally, mentally and physically. This is subjective and can be influenced by our background, health, and personal likes and dislikes. The main focus of wellbeing is that you are as comfortable, happy, and supported as possible.

Why might I need help managing my wellbeing?
A caring role can be a source of both improved and declined wellbeing. Life altering change is a shared reality within caring and can take a toll on us mentally, physically and emotionally, as well as managing the burden of carer admin, behaviour that challenges and worries about the future of a caring role.
The Wellbeing Service delivered by Carers in Bedfordshire for Bedfordshire and Luton carers aims to improve carers’ mental health in a holistic way, helping them understand their emotions and learning coping mechanisms in order to process their emotions. As part of the Wellbeing Service, we offer 1-2-1 support and free, accessible online resources.
What is the Wellbeing Service?
Wellbeing 1-2-1 Sessions
The wellbeing service can offer six to eight 45-minute sessions of wellbeing, which can be facilitated in-person, online (zoom) or face to face in our office (Bedford Heights, MK41 7PH). The aim of sessions is to help carers identify, acknowledge and understand how to manage their emotions, as well as giving a safe and confidential place to talk about what is going on.
