Guidance and practical tips for carers who identify as neurodivergent, plus best practices for professionals supporting neurodivergent carers.

We’re delighted to invite you to our Caring as a Neurodivergent Adult session — created to support Carers who identify as neurodivergent, or who think they may be. Caring can bring unique challenges, and being neurodivergent can shape the way you experience, manage, and balance your role. This session provides a safe, understanding space to reflect on your own needs, explore strategies that work for you, and connect with support that recognises your experiences.

What you’ll learn:

  • What it is and isn’t, with up-to-date research, key features, diagnostic criteria, and common comorbidities
  • How difficulties with planning, memory, and organisation can affect daily life and caring roles.
  • The potential effects of neurodivergence on individuals in a caring role.
  • Information on support for diagnosis, strengths-based approaches, managing anxiety, and promoting good sleep, diet, and routines.
  • Techniques for improving executive functioning, maintaining routines, and reducing stress.
  • Navigating interactions with professionals, handling paperwork, preparing for meetings, remembering key points, and staying organised.

We’ll be hosting this session via zoom.

Caring as a neurodivergent adult comes with both strengths and challenges – and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Sign up here We look forward to supporting you.
