Another Win – Third Sector Award – Breakthrough of the Year

We are delighted to announce that we have won a Third Sector Award for Breakthrough of the Year. This is a wonderful recognition after a busy year at Carers in Bedfordshire. As a growing charity, we have worked hard to transform how we deliver our services. We have invested in our digital services and have made significant improvements in our registration process and in automating the triage process. As an example of our achievements, whilst experiencing a 66% increase in monthly registrations, the improvements have reduced the waiting time between registration and an initial phone call from an average of 50 days to 13 days.  Bonnie Chrusciak, Business Manager, commented,

“Carers in Bedfordshire are elated to have won the Third Sector award for Breakthrough of the Year. Having worked hard on improving how unpaid carers can access our services and the vital information they require, we now support more unpaid carers than ever before, at near 12,000 carers.”

Receiving a Third Sector Award helps us let our team, and the wider community, know that we are on the right path and can continue with confidence that we are delivering our services to the best of our ability.
